Marika Vapaavuori is a Finnish theatre director, playwright and a scriptwriter. She has directed in all major theaters in Finland such as Helsinki City Theatre, Tampere Theatre, Tampere Workers Theatre, Turku City Theatre and Tampere Opera.

She has also written a lot of shows, texts and plays for independent groups and theatres, huge events and radio plays and has also worked successfully with symphony orchestras lead by conductors such as Hannu Lintu and Santtu-Matias Rouvali and also Anja Bihlmaier in the opera The Flying Dutchman by Richard Wagner.
